Permits

Michigan Shoreline Construction is experienced at handling permit work for marine construction projects. Permitting of a construction project in inland lakes and streams may require permits from city, township, state, and / or federal agencies prior to any work being performed; failure to do so can accumulate stiff penalties and fines.

Permits can take a couple of weeks to several months to acquire depending upon the area in which you wish to have the the work performed. If one is inexperienced on what is required by the agencies involved, this process can take even longer.

Michigan Shoreline Construction can put together a professional package for you, which includes all the specifications, design considerations, drawings, aerials, and maps required to apply for the necessary permits. Meetings with the various agencies and Lake Associations to discuss what is involved in your project and what is allowed may also be arranged.
